WEEK OF MAY 4, 2008
Today:
- All of our Sermons are recorded and are available on CDs: If you missed a week or would like to listen again to one of the sermons, they are available in the church lobby. Donations are accepted.
- For any newcomers to AABC, we have the Newcomer’s Luncheon today at 12:45 in the library.: It is an informal time to get to know some people in the church family. Lunch will be catered. Please indicate your interest by checking off the box in the Guest Registration Card (tear-off portion of the bulletin) and dropping that into the offering plate. You may also contact Ben Wong (bwong@aabcdallas.org) to let him know of your desire to attend
- From the Transition Team:: We have completed the Worship, Engage, Nurture and Equip sermons and this Sunday we will be looking at and discussing the last element of our vision statement, RESPOND. The Transition Team thanks everyone for their commitment to the vision by arriving early and reviewing the weekly reflections in preparation for each Sunday. Please continue to pray for each of us to be challenged in becoming a passionate follower of Christ through each of the RENEW sermons.
- We will be honoring all of our high school, college, and graduate school graduates at the Mother’s Day Worship Service (May 11th).: If you are a 2008 graduate, the church family would love to recognize you, celebrate your achievements, and pray for you as you continue to move forward in life! Please send in your information (e.g., school graduating from, degree {if applicable}, where/what will you be doing next) and a digital picture to Ben Wong (bwong@aabcdallas.org) or Edward Lee (elee@aabcdallas.org) by May 1st.
- Special thanks to the picnic committee: Wanda Wong, Grace Chen, Mike Kwok, Dan Godfrey, Cynthia Woo, Jeff Woo, and Dave Mah for cooking the brisket. The picnic was a great success and many were blessed by the fellowship, food, and fun.
- If you are a guest with us today, you will notice that this Sunday’s service will be different from possibly any other service you have been to!: Our church is going through a special sermon series on our vision and values. During each of these special Sundays (April 6th – May 4th), we are starting at an earlier time and have a different format that allows for preaching on one of the 5 different elements of the vision and small group discussion time. Your presence here today is appreciated, and feel free to participate in any way that is comfortable to you.
