Seeking Community

"We have all known the long loneliness, and we have found that the answer is community." –Dorothy Day, author of The Long Loneliness

We've all been there. Loneliness. That awful feeling of hollow emptiness. Sometimes it hits us when we are all alone. Sometimes it hits us when we are in a crowded room. Life is meant to be shared with others, but so often we lack meaningful connections.

Hebrews 10:25 reminds us: "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another..."

This past Sunday, we had our Nurture Connection Time. This was an opportunity for people to seek out community connections. To find people to walk alongside them. To be encouraged and pointed to Christ.

Connection isn't easy. It took courage for people to say, "I need community." It took thoughtfulness for others to receive and encourage these lonely souls. Connection isn't easy, but this past Sunday, CONNECTION HAPPENED!!!

If you are lonely, join one of our nurture groups. Pray and look for community. We'll be having another Nurture Connection Time on Sunday, April 23. We look forward to seeing you there.
