Mission
- Meet the needs of women in the church to bring them to spiritual maturity.
- Equip women to minister within the Christian body.
- Provide opportunities and encouragement for women to minister in the community.
Women's Daytime Prayer and Bible Study GroupWe would like to welcome all women to join us for a time of prayer, Bible study and fellowship. We meet on Wednesdays twice a month from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Child care is provided.
Care MinistryAn important part of the Women's Ministry is the Care Ministry. We have a team of women ready to bring meals, run errands, and provide child care in the event of a new baby, illness, injury, or bereavement, etc. Our goal is to encourage one another by supporting each other in practical ways during times of need. If you would like to help or know someone in need, contact AABC. For more information, contact Betsy Wong or Violet Mah.
Annual Women's RetreatEach year women take a break from the busyness of everyday life to go on a retreat. It is a perfect time of learning from great speakers, spending time with God, sharing with others, meeting new friends, and just having fun. We encourage women of all ages to attend. The next retreat will be on April 8 and 9 of 2005. Registration begins in March.
Missions ProjectsSeveral times a year, we have the opportunity to help out with different missions projects. In December, we fill gift stockings for people in Terlingua, Mexico. Other times of the year, we put together care packages for international students at UT Dallas.
Social and Outreach EventsThroughout the year, we have several social activities that are great opportunities for outreach. We have cooking demonstrations, ladies night out, game nights, ice cream socials, and card making/scrapbooking nights. Everyone is welcome to attend, and we encourage you to bring newcomers.
