Meet Our New Engage and College Minister

suns

It is with great joy and deep humility that I will be transitioning into a new role as the part-time Engage and College Minister to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and the local body of Christ at AABC. My heart resonates with that of the Apostle Paul’s to the church of Corinth in 1 Corinthians 2:1–5 and excitedly anticipates to see what God has in store for this new season with our AABC family:

"And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence of human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. Or I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power."

As we embark on this new journey, I am committed to praying for “a demonstration of the Spirit’s power” as the mark of my ministry, family, faith and life. For 2020, I will spend half of my time serving in the college ministry and the other half in the Engage ministry. The focus of my role is to be an integral partner in the discipleship ministries of AABC to equip, motivate and lead the congregation and college students to obey the Great Commandment and to fulfill the Great Commission through participation in local outreaches, evangelism trainings, fellowship meetings, Sunday School classes, personal meetups, missions, etc. May we dedicate our lives together to be the obedient disciples to make Jesus’ final word our first work!

Jocelyn and I are so thrilled to continue our journey of faith with you. Although God has convicted our heart with clarity and urgency to go overseas where the resources are finite and the workers are few, we are to be faithful in this season until our Father sends us into the world. We are keen on meeting and hanging out with y’all. Let us know if you are up for grabbing coffee or boba tea with us!
