All of us have a story. A story that needs to be shared and heard. Why? Because our story is God’s story.

God is writing a wonderful story of Creation-Fall-Redemption-Restoration. God created a perfect world of shalom (peace). That peace was disrupted with Adam and Eve and the Fall. But in His grace, 2,000 years ago, God brought redemption through the death, burial and resurrection of his Son, Jesus. And one future day, God will bring restoration to the world in which shalom will return. This is God’s story.

One of the most powerful events I have been a part of was our Storytellers church retreat. Three days of people sharing—stories of victory, stories of hurt and pain, stories of joy and laughter, stories of grief and sadness, stories of love, and stories of loss. Stories encapsulating what it means to be human. Stories that connected us. Stories that pointed to God’s grand story.

This spring, we want people to share their stories again. We are going to have a Storytellers class, which will be a weekly opportunity to share our stories and hear others’ stories. So come, be encouraged and connect with others through the listening and telling of God’s wonderful story.
