Our COVID-19 Response Updates

Re-Entry Plan (Feb 2021).PNG

Gating Principles

  • We are never closed for we are the Church.
  • We are fearless but not reckless (Luke 12:4–5, Prov. 14:16).
  • We are listening to you and longing for us to gather in person again.

Gating Criteria

How will we know when to move from one phase to the next?

  • Praying for God’s guidance
  • Seeing a 14-day downward trend in number of new daily positive COVID-19 cases in Dallas and Collin Counties
  • Looking at cues from the community around us (e.g., churches, schools, etc.)

Current Status

March 10, 2021

The lifting of the mask mandate for the state of Texas goes into effect today. In an effort to maintain a safe experience for all, the church leadership decided to continue requiring attendees to wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all in-person ministry events at this time.

We are currently in Phase 2B of our Re-Entry Plan. Our worship service begins at 9:30 a.m. and lasts for an hour. Our worship services are held in our gym (in the Sports and Fellowship Center), where there are pod configurations of seats for family and friend units to sit together while observing social distancing. Everyone is required to wear masks for the entire service and while they are on campus. Exceptions are made for the partaking of communion (using individually sealed cups/wafers) and for the Worship Leader, Ambassador and Pastor while they are on stage. The back doors of the gym and lobby are opened to allow airflow—this can cause the gym to be cold or hot, so please dress accordingly.

Our Children’s Ministry is both in-person and online starting at 9:30 a.m. For those joining in-person, multiple health and safety measures are in place so that children, parents and volunteers have a blessed time together while on campus.

If you are joining us as our guest, please download and fill out this registration form and health questionnaire. If you like, we will also have forms available for you to fill out when you come on campus.

If you’re planning to be a regular attender or want to make AABC your home church, we will ask that you register online for the most efficient and contactless way to let us know you’re coming. You can register here: Events – Asian American Baptist Church (churchcenter.com)

We are excited to get to know you and walk with you in knowing, loving and following Jesus as our Savior!

Grace and peace,
