Authentic Faith

James communicates a big idea to us and it’s simply this: Wise Up. Do you remember how amazing it was for your dad to tell you to wise up without saying one word? He simply said it with his eyes. It reminds me of how much communication takes place without words. Experts call it the 55/38/7 formula. 55% is nonverbal. 38% is vocal or tone. 7% is words only. So, the advice that James gives us falls under the 7%-word category; therefore, we really need to pay attention to it. We wise up when we recognize our need to wise up, have confidence, know our position, and receive our reward.
