The Prayer Book

What’s a song that has great meaning to you? A song can bring you back to a certain time, place, or person. A song helps you express something deep within your soul. Whether it’s the Beatles, U2, or Taylor Swift, songwriters help us articulate love and grief, hope and hurt, and peace and anger. The Biblical writers used songs the same way. They expressed their prayers and emotions to the Lord through song. During the holiday season, as we too, are feeling all these different emotions, we will go through the book of Psalms to draw closer to God through an honest expression of song and prayer.
